"Dream Seeker"

She's a dream seeker,
a peace-keeper
and all she wants to be
is a quiet sleeper.
But restlessness
is a constant now
'cause wakefulness
presents its bow.
Says 'How do you do
you remember me?
I've been here before
when dreams
abandoned thee.'

She says 'Go on. Get away.
I need my dreams
to make it through the day.'
She won't give up.
She closes her eyes tight
and at 4: 00 in the morning
gives way to the night.
